The Riverhouse is a sophisticated villa, with 5 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms, a private 25m swimming pool and open-air living areas that offer views of the surrounding rice fields. You will be welcomed by traditional Balinese hospitality and leave feeling refreshed after enjoying the tropical oasis. Located in one of the best spots just outside the tourist area of Canggu, Pererenan is where you will find a slice of paradise on an often very busy island.
The River House is perfectly in tune with nature where you can hear the birds in the nearby river, and watch the sunset from the outdoor entertainment deck. Breakfast is prepared fresh daily by our staff and we offer barista-style coffee to ensure you are ready for your adventures in Bali. If you prefer to take the day off at home, our in-villa massage services are also available and make for the ultimate zen day in the villa.
THE SPACE
The owners built this remarkable villa as their personal Bali residence, completing the project in 2019. It was designed to be as comfortable as any residential home in the world, with thoughtful decorations throughout and now you are welcome to experience it for yourself.
Conceptualised by renowned Bali-based architect Alexis Dornier, the River House was built with locally sourced sandstone and reclaimed timber. In addition, the wooden latticework on the exterior, paired with multiple semi-outdoor spaces, provides different perspectives and viewpoints as you enjoy all the villa has to offer.
The interior design by Somewhere Concepts works to bring you through the grand entrance into an inviting space that blends Bali’s topical outdoors with comfortable finishings. Expect to be flawed by the double-height ceilings, expansive alfresco dining area and poolside tropical gardens. Contemporary minimalism is effortlessly seen throughout the River House. Here you will see the vertical 25m swimming pool, perfectly surrounded by lush greenery to offer shade from the afternoon sun.
Experience a new way of living with views of the generous landscaped gardens thoughtfully prepared by the Bali Landscape Company featuring coconut trees, rice fields and river access.

Pererenan is one of the most sought-after locations if not the hot spot in all of Bali. The River House is perfectly located for those that want more than the hustle and bustle of the major tourist areas yet remain close enough to enjoy them. Pererenan is a coastal village town where many expats choose to live because it provides the best of both worlds.

Check-in is not available on major public holidays.
Arrival is from 2:00 pm daily and departure time is at 11:00 am daily.
The Location
Villa Services
We have a total of 10 staff who look after the villa including your own Villa Manager. Housekeeping will be as discrete or as interactive as you like during your stay. With a strong dedication to their work and their welcoming smiles, our staff will make you feel very much at home. Guests repeatedly review that they return to the villa because our team goes above their expectations.
Breakfast is included in your stay with your choice of croissants, fresh fruit, eggs your way and pancakes. Alternatively you can enjoy local cuisine such as nasi goreng made to order. The kitchen is fully stocked and includes a professional coffee machine and Canggu Blend beans.
Additional services such as airport transfers, car hire, and massage services can be arranged on request.

The owners built this house as their exclusive Bali residence. The villa was designed to be as comfortable as any home in the world with special touches and thoughtful decorations throughout. The River House truly is an exceptional place to spend your time either relaxing in the grand living areas or by the 25-metre outdoor swimming pool.
Determined to provide guests with exceptional comfort all of the premium linens were sourced in Belgium and each room is cooled with air conditioning to ensure a peaceful night’s sleep.
The hosts have years of experience creating wonderful spaces for guests and hope that you will enjoy your stay as much as they enjoyed bringing the home to life in beautiful Bali.
